Fast Video Indexer 1.31 released

A new version of Fast video indexer is now available for download from www.fastvideoindexer.com. This version completly removes the dependency on the visual studio c runtime dlls. Most computers have this already installed but if you did not have it, Fast Video Indexer would start but it would not be possible to index any types of videos. Performance has been slightly improved in a few cases. Stability is improved when stopping videos and for some types of corrupt videos. This upgrade is free for all current customers.

The number one problem I get from people trying to use Fast video indexer is some type of codec related issue. When they finally install the codec they need for the video file everything usually works fine. It used to be so that if windows media player could play a video it could be captured with Fast video indexer. But, in Windows 7 this might no longer be true. Today I will upload the 1.21 version of Fast video indexer.  I have been playing around a bit with the template function in the program. This is an extremely powerful feature that you really should try if you haven’t. It’s not that hard to change the current templates to generate web pages that blends perfectly into your web site. I just uploaded the 1.18 version of Fast Video Indexer. Most user will probably not see a differece but there are two reasons to upgrade. Just a quick note today… I noticed that I had a few places where it said that Fast video indexer worked on Windows XP, Vista etc but had missed Windows 7. I just want to make that clear; Fast Video indexer works in Windows 7. Info on my sites should be updated but the info is still wrong on a number of download sites out there.

I have just uploaded a new version of Fast Video Indexer. Fast Video Indexer is now compiled with Visual Studio 2010. It’s more modern compiler that what I used before so it should result in slightly better performance, though i haven’t done any real measurements.
